MesserStory: New plant of Adolf Messer & Co. GmbH

Bad Soden, Germany. - In the anniversary year 2018 - from now on until December - we will tell the exciting story of the Messer family business.

1926 Adolf Messer & Co. GmbH opened a new plant in Hanauer Landstraße in Frankfurt am Main.

In the same year, Messer launches the recoilless high-performance exchangeable torch for welding and cutting. The new technology prevents the flame from striking back into the burner due to insufficient fuel gas outflow speed (gas shortage). If the fuel gas burns outside the nozzle faster than it is supplied, the flame migrates into the burner or even into the hose. The rebound can be recognised by a loud bang and can lead to serious damage. The interchangeable torch is a big step forward because it allows the torch tips to be changed without having to remove the hoses. The use of different torch tips allows the processing of different metal thicknesses and types with only one handle.
